The ICP3320 serial communications processor is a programmable front-endI/O board for SPARCstation and SPARCserver systems. The ICP provideshigh-speed, realtime data communications and improves the system'sefficiency by offloading low-level communications traditionally performedby the host processor.Simpact offers the industry's widest array of standard and specializedprotocols-bisynchronous, X.25, HDLC, DDCMP, and more than twenty others.Or, custom protocols can be easily developed with Simpact's softwaredevelopment toolkit, SBTools.The ICP3320 offers the industry's highest raw communications performancefor SBus systems. it uses a powerful on-board processor and supports awide range of high-speed serial or I/O requirements. Two serial ports onthe ICP3320 furnish line speeds that reach T1/E1 data rates.
